We are based in Espoo, Finland. We are global and want to connect with you wherever you are. If your delivery destination is not on the countries list, please contact us.

What is your mission?

Our mission is to encourage curly haired girls of all textures to fall in love with their curls.  By providing high quality and nourishing products, we will achieve our mission. The simple idea behind the creation of our products: Curly hair needs extra nourishing love, that's why our hair products should be full of nutritions that bring curls into blossom. Therefore our products are made of natural plant-based ingredients and are free from silicones & harsh chemicals. Our ingredients are chosen with careful thought for the purest and highest quality outcome, keeping our customers total health and wellness as the priority.

Where does the name Sumilayi come from?

Sumilayi is a shortage of the words Suki Milayi which means Long Hair in Lingala language.

How do you pronounce Sumilayi? 

Pronunciation: Su Me La yee

How natural are the products?

Our products' raw materials are 90-100% natural origin, 100% Vegan. 2-10% of the product contains preservatives to ensure the preservation of the product.

What ingredients do you use?

Are Sumilayi products animal tested?

We do not use any ingredients that are tested on animals. Sumilayi is also vegan. 

Why is the consistency different from the product I just ordered to the one I already have?

Our products are freshly handmade, and we use natural and organic ingredients. Due to the nature of the ingredients, the consistency and scent may differ.

How long do your products last?

12-24 months after opening the product package.

Yes, we do accept PayPal. We also accept bank payments, Visa, Mastercards, Mobile pay,  Paytrail and Klarna.

How much is shipping?

As a new business, we are currently limited in our ability to absorb postage and packaging costs. We do try to offer free Finland shipping where possible and seek to partner with retailers worldwide to reduce shipping costs for you. Our shipping fees are:

Free shipping to Europe, USA and Canada over 55€ of purchase.
